Shanghai Key Laboratory of Material Frontiers Research in Extreme Environments (MFree) is guided by major scientific issues and national needs, focusing on strategic directions such as new materials, and building an innovative laboratory with strategic significance. It promotes the transfer of international cutting-edge basic research to emerging industries and plays a leading and exemplary role in future industrial technology development and exploration of industry university research cooperation mechanisms. Key laboratories are developing new breakthroughs technologies with the greatest potential, applying them to the forefront of high-pressure science under the most impactful extreme conditions, breaking through the reach new heights. By combining the innovation of synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction and imaging probes, we aim to form the innovative source of future high-voltage science and technology, and strive to build a world center for material science research under extreme conditions in Shanghai.
