▍ Research Interests
Dr. Lou’s research specializes in advanced in situ high-pressure synchrotron X-ray technique development and application to probe and manipulate the structure and properties of disordered materials under extreme conditions. By developing novel in situ experimental methodologies and employing comprehensive synchrotron approaches, including X-ray diffraction (XRD), pair distribution function (PDF), small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), transmission X-ray microscopy (TXM), X-ray photon correlation spectroscopy (XPCS), radial diffraction (r-XRD), X-ray absorption/emission spectroscopy (XAS/XES), and inelastic X-ray scattering (IXS), we aim to decode the atomic-scale dynamics and metastable states of disordered systems.
